Drug Interactions

• Drugs may interact with other medications or with other diseases
• Avoid drug-disease state interactions by telling your pharmacist or health care provider of any other diseases you may have (even if they are not treated with medicine) before taking any over the counter medicine.
• Avoid drug-drug interactions by giving your pharmacist or health care provider a list of all of the medicines you are taking and seeking their advice before taking any over the counter medicine.
• Avoid drug interactions by buying all your medicines at the same drug store whenever possible. Have your pharmacist keep a record of all of your disease states and medicines (prescription and over the counter) on your computer record.
